About Us
Care rooted in experience. Built on purpose.
Restore Living Well was founded by someone who spent 15 years in healthcare - and decided to build the kind of care he knew was missing.
This didn't start as a business idea. It started with a conversation.
Restore Living Well was founded by Robert Wongbay, a healthcare professional with over 15 years of experience - beginning as a Certified Nursing Assistant and growing into a mental health associate role in a hospital setting. Over the years, he became known for something that can't be easily taught: the ability to reach people others couldn't, and to calmly de-escalate the moments that matter most.
His work has always been rooted in advocacy. As a former Union Chief Steward at Regions Hospital, Robert represented and supported employees by promoting fair workplace practices, resolving concerns, and fostering strong, respectful labor-management relationships. That same commitment to advocacy and integrity carried into his leadership in care settings.
The turning point came during a routine visit to a group home. A resident was clearly struggling - uncomfortable, unheard, and without any visible way to express his concerns. Robert chose to slow down. He sat with him. Listened. Helped him understand his options.
It was a small moment - but it revealed a much larger gap.
Too many individuals in care settings are treated as routines to manage, rather than people to understand. Too many are left without a voice, without advocacy, and without the level of attention their situations truly require.
Robert didn't just recognize the problem - he chose to take responsibility for solving it.
Building on his experience as an Assisted Living Director - where he oversaw quality care, ensured regulatory compliance, and created safe, compassionate environments for seniors, adults with disabilities, and individuals needing daily support - he made the deliberate decision to do things differently.
He converted his own home into an assisted living residence. Not to replicate the system - but to reimagine it. A place where care is personal. Where residents are known, not just monitored. Where a small, dedicated team provides 24/7 support with both the time and the intention to truly show up.
Restore Living Well was built on the belief that quality care is not about scale - it's about presence.
We serve individuals who deserve more than minimum standards. Individuals who need patience, attentiveness, and genuine human connection as part of their care. Our approach prioritizes consistency, dignity, and trust - creating an environment where residents feel safe, respected, and truly seen.
This is not a corporate model. It's not driven by volume. It is a commitment - to do care differently.
Because every person who walks through our doors deserves more than to be looked after.
They deserve to be understood.

Intentionality isn't a value we post on a wall. It's how we work.
Every resident is known.
Not as a room number or a care plan. As a person - with preferences, routines, history, and dignity that deserve to be honored every single day.
Families are partners.
Choosing care for a loved one is one of the hardest decisions a family makes. We don't take that lightly. We keep you informed, included, and at ease.
Quality is the standard, not the goal.
We don't aim for quality on good days. It is the baseline - the minimum we hold ourselves to, every shift, for every resident.
Growing the right way.
In five years, Restore Living Well aims to expand to two or three campuses - not to grow for the sake of growth, but because demand for this kind of care is real and the people who need it deserve access to it.
Every campus will carry the same standard: small, intentional, and built on relationship. The care that defines us today will define every location we open.
